Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar Automatic Platinum (5140P)

The Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar watch (ref. 5140P) features a mechanical automatic movement; blue sunburst dial; perpetual calendar complication with the day, date, month & leap year displayed by hands; moon phase display with day/night indicator; sapphire-crystal, transparent case back that is interchangeable with a full back; and 37.2mm, platinum case on a dark blue alligator strap with a platinum deployant clasp.

The Patek Philippe 5140P incorporates a new version of Patek's most well known movement: the Caliber 240 Q, an ultra-thin, automatic perpetual calendar. The timeless elegance of the original ref. 3940 case, first released in the mid-1980's, was adapted in this larger, more contemporary size with a diameter of 37.2mm (as opposed to the 36mm case of its predecessor).
