Patrick Mavros Silver Lion & Monkey Ashtray

Large lion with monkeys ashtray in sterling silver. 4.7" (12cm) height. 6.3" (16cm) length. Designed and manufactured in Zimbabwe. Marked "PM" for Patrick Mavros.

This ashtray design has gave me much enjoyment and is a highly detailed sculpture. Dominated by the centrepiece of a proud silver lion, the beautifully balanced, hand-finished tray is held up by two of the fabled ‘Hear No Evil’ and ‘See No Evil’ monkeys. However the third mischievous monkey is hiding below, between the lion’s back legs where he puffs on a hand rolled cigar.
