Datograph Perpetual White Gold (410.038)
The A. Lange & Sohne Datograph Perpetual (ref. 410.038) features the L952.1 mechanical manual winding movement with an approximate 36-hour power reserve when fully wound; solid silver, gray-colored dial with rhodiumed gold & blued steel hands; chronograph with flyback and precisely jumping minute counter; perpetual calendar with outsize date, day-of-week, month, and leap-year displays; moon-phase display; day/night indicator; small seconds subdial with stop seconds function; and 41mm, 18k white gold case on a hand-stitched, black crocodile strap with an 18k white gold ardillon buckle.
A. Lange & Sohne's Datograph Perpetual is an interesting horological masterpiece in that it was designed to be able to measure both extraordinarily short, as well as extremely lengthy periods of time. The Datograph Perpetual combines two classic complications- the chronograph (to measure short time periods down to the millisecond) and the perpetual calendar (to keep time through the years).
