Franck Muller is a brand that doesn't get a lot of attention in today's steel sport watch-centric consumer mindset.

Muller the man and Muller the brand have brought a lot to the world of modern horology, and his colorful, mid-1990s/early-2000s tonneau-shaped dress watch collection perfectly exhibits a design language that walks a fine line between classical and whimsical.

This particular piece, a Reference 2852,  lives up to that reputation, yet by FM standards, is on the restrained side of things...

Dating to circa the early 2000s, it features a 35mm stainless steel Tonneau case with a curved sapphire crystal, a signed crown, and a gorgeous, navy blue guilloche dial with luminous stylized-Arabic indices and a matching 'kite' handset. 

This piece is powered by an automatic winding movement and comes fitted to a crisp navy blue alligator strap with a signed stainless steel pin buckle.

Despite their under-the-radar profile, Franck Muller timepieces are still some of the best in the world of dressy complications, and this wildly fun piece is no exception.
