Back in the mid-20th century such double-signed watch sightings from notable jewelers were more commonplace. These days, it’s much tougher to find a “Tiffany stamp” out in the wild.

    Movado, established in 1881, made some of the finest time-only and complicated watches of the 20th century. Their famed triple-calendar watches of the 1940s and ‘50s and Super Sub Sea chronographs from the 1960s are highly sought after by collectors, and for good reason — combining high-quality movements with attractive design, they’re the type of timepieces that draw people headfirst into the horological world.

    Designed in the mold of other classic 1960s dress watches such as the Patek Philippe Calatrava, this simple Movado is the perfect accompaniment to a special night out. Housed in a 33.5mm 14K yellow gold case with a signed crown and an acrylic crystal, it features a satin silver dial with applied indices and a crosshair sub-seconds display, a matching dauphine sword handset, and the manually wound Calibre 125 beating away within.
