1904. Louis Cartier granted the wish of the famous Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos Dumont: to be able to tell the time while flying. The birth of one of the first ever wristwatches sealed the bonds of friendship between these two pioneers. The rounded angles of the dial, seamless curve of the horns, and the exposed screws made for an iconic watch that would inspire countless reinterpretations.

Yellow gold 750/1000 and steel case, 7-sided crown set with a synthetic faceted blue spinel, patent burgundy dial, golden-finish sword-shaped hands, sapphire crystal. Yellow gold 750/1000 and steel bracelet, second semi-matt burgundy alligator-skin strap with steel ardillon buckle. Both straps are fitted with an interchangeability system. Dimensions: 27 mm x 34.5 mm. Thickness: 7.08 mm. Water-resistant up to 3 bar (approx. 30 metres).
