WHY WE LOVE IT
One name: Gerald Genta.
The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak is perhaps Genta’s most memorable work, and in many ways changed the shape of the watch industry.
The Royal Oak essentially created an entirely new category of 'luxury sport' timepieces, and with it came a new design language which inspired countless other manufactures. What's particularly delightful about the design of the Royal Oak is that it works brilliantly in a number of sizes and casing materials, from steel to carbon fiber or solid gold.
What we have here is a Reference 14802 released and sold exclusively in 1992 to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the Royal Oak. It features a 39mm 'jumbo' 18K yellow gold case with a matching integrated bracelet, a sapphire crystal, a stunning grey micro-tapisserie Tritium dial with a matching handset, and a sapphire display caseback - revealing Audemars Piguet's Cal. 21C automatic-winding movement within.
Remaining in fantastic condition throughout, this special piece looks the part of its predecessor, while packing a bit of modern touches with its upgraded deployant clasp and its exhibition caseback - leaving us with an excellent blend of old and new.

OVERALL CONDITION
The case and bracelet are in excellent condition throughout showing light wear consistent with age and use. Grey micro-tapisserie Tritium dial is in equally excellent condition showing light, even patination to Tritium elements with matching handset. Unsgned crown.
