Cartiers Tank is one of the icons of the watch industry. Over its history, it has gone through a whole host of unique iterations with their own unique personalities. Perhaps no model has as distinctive a look as the coveted Tank a Guichets.

Notably released in 1928 and worn by jazz icon Duke Ellington, the watch is strikingly recognizable thanks to its jump hour display.

Carved into a slab of red gold, this watch truly embodies the tank aesthetic of its namesake. Cut into the surface of the slab of gold is a unique jump hour display, flaunting the hours in a window at 12, and the minutes on a radial display at 6 oclock.

Over the history of the Tank à Guichets since 1928, very few examples have actually been made. Several piece uniques were introduced in the early to mid 20th century. Then, in 1997, the brand did a 150 piece limited edition in platinum.
