It is among the most iconic designs in horological history — the Cartier Tank, transcending the passing fancies of trend and remaining as elegant as it ever was. However, there are many iterations of the famed wristwatch from Cartier, including slightly different takes such as the Tank Francaise.

The Tank Francaise retains much of the elegant lines of Louis Cartier’s early-20th century design, with just a few minor changes and the option for a bracelet.

This particular example, dates to circa the late 1990s - early 2000s and features a 25mm stainless steel case with a matching bracelet, a sapphire crystal, Cartier's signature sapphire cabochon crown, a beautiful white Roman dial with matching blued-steel handset, and a reliable quartz movement within.

The Tank is a long-established classic from the likes of a legendary brand. Why not spring for a more modern version with a twist?

OVERALL CONDITION

The case is in excellent condition overall with recent professional refinishing and only faint signs of wear from gentle handling. White dial with printed ‘Roman’ indices is in as-new condition with matching blued-steel handset. Sapphire cabochon crown.
