WHY WE LOVE IT

The Cartier Tank doesn't need much of an introduction. 

Perhaps the quintessential version of a true luxury icon, its design language has remained largely unchanged since its inception in 1917. Everyone from Andy Warhol to Marlon Brando has worn one, rendering it extremely relevant to pop culture and fashion iconography. And with its instantly recognizable rectangular case, you can spot one from a mile away!

This particular example, a Normale, offers something special and not often found... It is a French made model dating to circa the late 1960's - early 1970's and features a 23mm, 18K yellow gold case, a sapphire crystal, a sapphire cabochon crown, a polished bezel, and a white dial with Roman numeral indices, an inner minute “railroad” track, and a blued steel sword handset. Powered by a manually wound movement, it comes fitted to a black, alligator-pattern leather Cartier strap with a signed pin buckle.

This is a watch that positively oozes timeless luxury. And for that — as with all Cartier timepieces — we love it.

OVERALL CONDITION

The case is in very good condition overall showing signs of normal wear consistent with age and use. White signed dial with printed 'Roman' indices is in very good condition with matching blued-steel handset. Sapphire cabochon crown.
