WHY WE LOVE IT

The Cartier Tank doesn't need much of an introduction. 

Perhaps the quintessential version of a true luxury icon, its design language has remained largely unchanged since its inception in 1917. Everyone from Andy Warhol to Marlon Brando has worn one, rendering it extremely relevant to pop culture and fashion iconography. And with its instantly recognizable rectangular case, you can spot one from a mile away!

This particular example, a Normale, dates to circa the late 1970s - early 1980s and features only what can be described as a 'cute' 18mm 18K yellow gold case, a mineral crystal, a sapphire cabochon crown, and a white dial with printed Roman indices and a matching blued-steel sword handset. Powered by a manually wound movement, it comes fitted to a brown leather strap with a signed yellow gold deployant clasp.

Exceptionally rare and in fantastic overall condition, this is a watch that positively oozes timeless luxury. And for that — as with all Cartier timepieces — we love it.

OVERALL CONDITION

The case is in very good condition overall showing normal signs of wear consistent with age and use and light polish. Gloss white dial with printed 'Roman' indices is in excellent condition with matching blued-steel 'sword' handset. Sapphire cabochon crown.
