Journe is one of the world’s foremost watchmakers, having begun his studies at the ripe old age of 15 and receiving his watchmaking diploma at the École d'Horlogerie in Paris at the age of 19. His timepieces are complicated works of art, involving in-house ideation, design, and construction. In short: Journe is a master craftsman of the highest order, and his creations are some of the most desirable on Earth.

This particular F.P. Journe is an Octa Automatique Réserve Boutique Edition from the late 2010s. Outwardly simple, its elegance belies a sophisticated creation process and a considered approach that results in a piece of unparalleled beauty. Housed in a 40mm 18K rose gold case with a sapphire crystal, a knurled gold crown, and a polished bezel, it features a stunning black guilloché dial with rose gold applied ‘Arabic’ indices, a matching handset, a power reserve indicator, a date aperture, and a running seconds indicator.

Powering this beauty is the incredible F.P. Journe Calibre 1300.3 automatic movement. Composed of no less than 293 components and outfitted with 37 jewels, it’s COSC chronometer-certified and constructed largely of 18K rose gold. The movement is visible via the case’s sapphire exhibition caseback, and the entire package is finished with a signed, black alligator leather strap with an 18K rose gold pin buckle.

Complete with its factory goodies, this Octa Automatique Réserve Boutique Edition is one of the finest independently made timepieces we’ve ever had the pleasure of offering. Once you see it in the metal, we’re sure you’ll understand why!

OVERALL CONDITION

Case is in fantastic condition overall showing light signs of wear from gentle use. Blackened silver 'guilloche' dial with applied stylized 'Arabic' indices is in as-new condition with matching stylized handset. Signed crown. Sapphire exhibition caseback.
