WHY WE LOVE IT

In our opinion, Longines doesn't quite get the respect that they deserve.

That is not to say that they aren't held in high regard. But the level of innovation, craftsmanship, and design that Longines has demonstrated over the course of their existence simply cannot be understated, and certainly extends to a wide variety of timepieces across the board.

We believe this to be the case not only for vintage pieces, but for contemporary watches as well.

Take this La Grande Classique, for example: Launched in 1992, it’s a standout piece from the brand’s collections, offering an ultra-slim profile and a myriad of designs to choose from. This particular model, a Reference L4.209.2 from the 2020s, is an elegant ladies’ model. Housed in a 24mm yellow gold case with a sapphire crystal, a yellow gold, and a signed crown, it features a mother of pearl dial with diamond indices and a matching black ‘stick’ handset. Powered by a quartz movement, it comes paired to a multi-link stainless steel and yellow gold bracelet with a signed, push-button deployant clasp.

In excellent condition and featuring an eye-catching, elegant dial, this contemporary Longines represents an excellent value in modern dress watches considering its materials and build quality.

The case is in outstanding condition overall showing only faint signs of wear from careful handling. Mother-of-pearl dial with factory applied diamond indices is in as-new condition with matching 'stick' handset. Signed crown.
