WHY WE LOVE IT

While Universal Genève may be most famed for its Compax chronographs and the Polerouter, its svelte dress watches are equally compelling.

Throughout the latter half of the 20th century, UG designed simple, time-only watches alongside its more complicated brethren that played with shape, color, and design in interesting and novel ways.

Take this dressy timepiece, for example: Dating to circa 1967, it features a convex, ‘bathtub’-like shape that perfectly hugs the wrist. Housed in a 34mm x 44mm elliptical stainless steel case with ‘holey’ lugs, an acrylic crystal, and a signed crown, it features a deep, glossy blue dial with printed white indices and a matching white ‘stick’ handset. Powered by the manually wound Universal Genève Caliber 1-42 it comes fitted to one of our Analog:Shift beige leather straps with a steel pin buckle.

This is the perfect entryway into Universal Genève for the budding collector, or an excellent addition to an established collection for the person who appreciates something just a little bit different - or rather, very funky.

Sure to garner knowing nods of approval from the inner enthusiast circle, this is a killer option from one of our absolute favorite brands - full stop.

OVERALL CONDITION

The case is in excellent condition overall showing normal signs of wear from age and use with sleeve polish. Gloss blue dial with printed white indices is in very good condition with matching white 'stick' handset. Signed crown.
