With its ties to the great Gerald Genta — who was only 24 when he designed it — stunning looks, a horologically-significant movement and an interesting history to boot, the Polerouter is that one amazing value proposition that punches far above its weight class.

This particular Polerouter, a Reference 20735/22, dates to circa 1960-1961. Housed in a 34mm stainless steel case with straight lugs, a signed crown, and an acrylic crystal, it features a gloss black tritium dial with applied indices and a stainless steel chapter ring, and a matching pencil handset. Of course, it’s powered by a variant of UG’s iconic micro-rotor automatic movement, the Caliber 218-9. In fantastic condition and showing only light wear, it’s the perfect entrée into the world of Universal Genève.

When you strap it on your wrist you’ll quickly see why collectors are always on the hunt for exceptional Polerouters such as this one!

OVERALL CONDITION

The case is in fantastic condition overall showing light signs of wear from age and use. Gloss black Tritium dial with stainless steel chapter ring is in excellent condition with matching handset. Signed crown.
