With its ties to the great Gerald Genta — who was only 24 when he designed it — stunning looks, a horologically-significant movement and an interesting history to boot, the Polerouter is that one amazing value proposition that punches far above its weight class.
This particular Polerouter, a Reference 569119/06, dates to circa the late 1960s and features a 34mm gold-plated stainless steel case with faceted lugs, a signed screw-down crown, and a magnified acrylic crystal. Inside, it has a deep glossy black Tritium dial with applied indices and a matching handset, a framed date window, and UG’s Caliber 69 automatic winding 'Microtor' movement.
When you strap it on your wrist you’ll quickly see why collectors are always on the hunt for exceptional Polerouters such as this one!
OVERALL CONDITION
The case is in fantastic condition overall showing light signs of wear from age and use with no signs of polishing. Gloss black Tritium dial with applied indices is in fantastic condition with matching handset. Signed screw-down crown. Caseback engravings are excellent.
