WHY WE LOVE IT

This slim and elegant piece couldn't be any further removed from the bulky brute of the Royal Oak Offshore line that the brand is perhaps most commonly known for amongst today's collectors. Hearkening back to a simpler time, it’s representative of an era in which the maison made so few timepieces per year that many were unique pieces, or part of incredibly limited series.

Housed in a 34mm x 35mm stainless steel octagonal case, it features a handsome black lacquer dial with steel stick handset, a mineral crystal, an unsigned crown, and a wildly cool integrated Milanese bracelet with a signed clasp. Powered by the automatic Calibre 2121 movement, its caseback is simply signed “AP Steel” — a sign of how proud the manufacture was to produce such a fine timepiece in a non-precious metal case. 

Dating to 1971, this Reference 4010 is in excellent condition, showing only light signs of wear. Indeed, the dial is so fine that it looks as if it could have left the manufacture yesterday! Sized to fit up to a 7.5” wrist, it’s the perfect choice for someone who prefers the elegant dress pieces of yesteryear.

OVERALL CONDITION

The case is in excellent condition overall showing only light signs of wear consistent with age and use. Gloss black lacquer dial is in fantastic condition showing virtually no wear with matching handset. Unsigned crown.
