Then pay attention, because if you can't get your hands on a Big Crown Submariner or a Seamaster equipped with a laser, this may be the next best thing: In 2020 Swatch released a series of watches called the Swatch X 007 Tribute Collection, inspired by classic James Bond films. Fun, lightweight and affordable, they're an enjoyable entry point into 007-themed watch collecting that need not bankrupt the collector. Each watch in the lineup features a plastic case, a quartz movement, and a matching rubber strap. Perfect for everyday wear or if you're a serious collector for hoarding, these are the kinds of entry-level, battery-powered watches we can get behind. The Casino Royale Swatch that we have here is inspired by Daniel Craig's first adventure as Bond in 2006. Taking cues from the film's title sequence featuring casino-themed imagery, it features a 34mm plastic case, a plastic crystal, an unsigned crown, a gloss black dial with textured white spades and red diamond indices, and luminous baton hands. It comes paired to a stylized rubber strap with a plastic, Swatch-signed pin buckle. In near-mint, complete condition with its ephemera, this James Bond-inspired Swatch is perfect for the 007 devotee. Don't sleep on this one!
