With its ties to the great Gerald Genta — who was only 24 when he designed it — stunning looks, a horologically-significant movement and an interesting history to boot, the Polerouter is that one amazing value proposition that punches far above its weight class.

This particular Polerouter, a Reference 204612/2, dates to circa 1964-'65 and features a stainless steel twisted-lug case with a glossy black Tritium dial with a matching dauphine handset, a signed 'big crown', and UG's Calibre 69 automatic-winding micro-rotor movement within.

The culmination of design details like the gorgeous graduated chapter ring with the integrated asymmetric date window, the 'crosshair' dial, the svelte 'microtor' movement, the twisted lug case, and the outstanding build quality, leave us with a truly important watch from the most famous watch designer in history.

OVERALL CONDITION

The case is in excellent condition overall showing normal signs of wear consistent with age and use. Gloss black Tritium dial with stainless steel chapter ring is in excellent condition, showing even patina across luminous elements with matching 'dauphine' handset. Signed crown.
